Facial Fillers long-term absorbable polylactic acid

There are many treatments that are based on injection of fillers to soften wrinkles and expression lines. One of the newer ones used for this purpose is polylactic acid, which has the distinction of being biocompatible, biodegradable, non-allergenic, nontoxic and reabsorbed.

This means that it will be rejected, is eliminated naturally, does not alert the immune system and is completely reabsorbed. Its effect extends to 18 months.

Polylactic acid implants to no more than 2 or 3 mm subcutaneously. It works by stimulating the production of collagen and fibrosis creating a reaction that increases the thickness of the dermis in superficial depressed areas. (more…)

Preventing wrinkles

What to do when wrinkles appear?! How to control and even slow its arrival. Here, six steps to prevent them:

1) Keep the skin well hydrated.

When the skin is one of the last parts of the body to be “stocked” water “loses the power to retain moisture, dry and wrinkled.

Therefore, it is necessary to take 6-8 glasses of water daily and avoid diuretics and caffeine.

2) Avoid the sun.

The damage caused by the sun is cumulative and irreversible (remember: “the sun has memory.”) Therefore, it is important to wear a daily basis.

For best protection, apply a coat of sunscreen, wait half an hour and reapply another layer over the first. (more…)
